Starting July 1, pedal pubs in Toronto and other approved municipalities can now serve alcohol, thanks to a new provincial regulation. These large group quadricycles—already a hit for tours between local bars—can soon offer drinks onboard with a proper AGCO licence.
This change supports local breweries, retailers, and restaurants while enhancing a fun way to explore the city with friends. In our neighbourhood, Pedal Pub Toronto offers guided group rides with stops at downtown favourites like Steam Whistle Brewery, Belfast Love, and Grace O’Malley’s—with onboard sipping coming soon.
Municipalities must still approve operations and set local rules, but it’s another step in growing the tourism industry and supporting small businesses.
Cheers to summer on wheels.
