Toronto just got a new reason to slow down on Sundays.
PUNCH is introducing a weekly Sunday brunch served from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The concept brings together Indian breakfast traditions and a modern London point of view, creating something that feels both nostalgic and current.
This isn’t a quick in-and-out brunch. It’s designed for lingering. Live music featuring 80s British classics sets the tone, and the experience ends on a playful note with tableside cotton candy.
Cocktails That Set the Mood
The cocktail program leans bold and flavour-forward.
The Madras Mary builds on the brunch classic with Ketel One vodka, tomato juice, Madras curry, and a noticeable kick of heat. It’s savoury, spiced, and unapologetic. On the brighter side, Her Majesty’s Morning blends Grey Goose L’Orange, Tanqueray gin, Cointreau, and passionfruit orange marmalade, offering a citrus-forward option that feels fresh without being overly sweet.
Both drinks reflect the restaurant’s London influence while staying rooted in layered flavour.
Reworking Familiar Breakfast Rituals
Executive Chef Mandar Kulkarni approaches brunch with a sense of reverence and reinvention.
“Breakfast has always been an important ritual in Indian households,” says Kulkarni. “With this menu, we wanted to honour those traditional breakfast flavours while reworking them in a way that feels modern, thoughtful, and true to how we cook at PUNCH. These are familiar dishes, but seen through a new lens.”
That philosophy shows up across the menu. The Brisket Kathi Roll layers spice-crusted brisket inside an egg paratha with red onion slaw and Hakka chutney, balancing richness with sharp, bright notes. The Bread & Butter Pudding French Toast leans into comfort, finished with fresh berries, nutmeg, chantilly, and cardamom maple syrup for a dish that feels indulgent but balanced. Meanwhile, the Chicken Kheema brings masala ground chicken, green peas, yogurt, and a fried egg together with a mini brioche roll, creating something deeply savoury and satisfying.
A New Sunday Ritual
Sunday brunch at PUNCH brings together music, flavour, and atmosphere in a way that feels relaxed but intentional. It’s polished without being formal, celebratory without being loud.
