Shangri-La Toronto is rolling out the red carpet this September as TIFF marks its milestone 50th year. Just steps from TIFF Lightbox, the luxury hotel will host the festival’s invite-only Pre-Opening Cocktail on September 4 and unveil a month-long lineup of film-inspired experiences.
TIFF 50 Afternoon Tea (Sept 4–28)
Take a culinary journey through five decades of cinema with Shangri-La’s limited-edition Afternoon Tea. Each savoury and sweet is inspired by a film that defined its decade — from The Last Emperor to La La Land and Slumdog Millionaire. Priced at $108 CAD per person, the experience includes premium teas, scones, and a glass of sparkling wine or mocktail.
TIFF 50 Signature Cocktails (Sept 1–30)
Toast to 50 years of TIFF with eight cocktails inspired by festival favourites, like The Princess Bride, The Shawshank Redemption, and The Fabelmans. Available daily in the Lobby Lounge and Bar, cocktails are priced from $35 CAD.
Soak in Cinema
In collaboration with Canadian brand Bathorium™, Shangri-La introduces film-inspired bath rituals — from the rose-petal romance of American Beauty to the enchanted mist of The Princess Bride. Soaks start at $9 CAD, or indulge in the Bath Butler service for $75 CAD.
