Whether you’re spending the whole day out or stopping by for one main activity, there’s a lot happening across the neighbourhood for all ages.

CBC Olympic House (Family Day Weekend)

The CBC Toronto Broadcast Centre is transforming into the CBC Olympic House for Family Day weekend, creating a high-energy space designed for families to come together and enjoy the Olympic atmosphere. From February 14 to 16, visitors can experience live stage programming, special guest appearances, and interactive zones alongside a massive indoor screen showcasing must-see Olympic moments. With activities designed for all ages, it’s an easy stop for families looking to soak up the excitement together.

CBC Olympic House is open on Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Sunday and Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The venue is located at 205 Wellington Street West.


Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada

For a more relaxed but equally memorable outing, families can explore Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada, a magical underwater experience in the heart of downtown. Visitors can come face to face with thousands of aquatic animals, including colourful fish, glowing jellyfish, sharks, and stingrays. It’s a great indoor option for all ages, especially if you’re looking to balance entertainment with something educational.

Family Day at The Well

Family Day at The Well offers a full day of activities designed to bring families together through play, creativity, and entertainment. Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy face painting, interactive games, and Wiggles with Karla, along with a Family Day skate that invites everyone to hit the ice. A Skate Safely session runs from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., making it a welcoming experience for beginners, and the day wraps up with a family-friendly screening of Sonic the Hedgehog.


Sweet City Fest at STACKT Market

Sweet City Fest is taking over STACKT Market from February 13 to 16, bringing four days of treats, entertainment, and feel-good moments to the city. Timed perfectly around Valentine’s Day and Family Day, the festival offers something for everyone, whether you’re visiting with family, friends, or simply following your sweet tooth. Visitors can expect live music, hands-on workshops, vendor markets, and special Family Day programming throughout the weekend.

Sweet City Fest runs daily from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and is free to attend.


Family Day Game: Toronto Marlies vs. Laval Rocket

Families looking to end the long weekend with high-energy entertainment can catch the Toronto Marlies vs Laval Rocket at Scotiabank Arena. Taking place on Monday, February 16 at 2:00 p.m., this Family Day matchup is a great way to enjoy live hockey together, with fast-paced action and a lively crowd atmosphere.
