POSTED ON June 11, 2024 BY Justine Smith

We are thrilled to announce the launch of “Table 6ix“, a new podcast that invites listeners to pull up a chair and join hosts Laurie Weir and Dana Duncanson for meaningful conversations with Toronto’s most influential personalities. From the latest trends to personal stories and critical issues, Table 6ix delves into what makes Toronto thrive. Think of this podcast as a love letter to our city.

In our first episode, we have the honour of hosting Deputy Mayor and City Councillor for Ward 10, Ausma Malik. Ausma is Canada’s first hijab-wearing Muslim woman elected to public office in, and she’s dedicated to driving significant positive change in Toronto. Join Laurie and Dana as they dive deep into Ausma’s journey, her love for Toronto, and her vision for a more inclusive, compassionate city.

Next up on Table 6ix, we are excited to welcome Kelly Langgard, the Director & CEO of the Toronto Arts Council and Toronto Arts Foundation. Kelly will discuss the crucial role of public art in fostering community and reflecting Toronto’s diverse identities. She will share insights on the City’s Public Art Strategy and highlight the Toronto Arts Council’s 50th-anniversary celebration happening at David Pecaut Square during Luminato in the Square.
