Toronto Community Crisis Service Expansion

The Toronto Community Crisis Service (TCCS) is an alternative approach to responding to someone in crisis that focuses on health, prevention and well-being. This service provides a community-based, client centred, trauma-informed response to non-emergency crisis calls and wellness checks.

The expansion of TCCS is one of the first-year priority actions in the SafeTO: Toronto’s Ten-Year Community Safety and Well-Being Plan to reduce vulnerability in Toronto through proactive mental health support strategies and community-based crisis support models.

The BIA encourages members to call 211 regarding individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.
