Shelter Intake Centre
The BIA is actively working with levels of government to address the backlog of new refugees as we understand that Toronto’s shelter system is at capacity. The City is aware of the challenging situation posed by numerous encampments along Richmond and Peter Street.
We are concerned for the health and safety of these new refugees and the community. As urgent solutions are necessary, we will keep you informed as we receive updates.
