Murder and blackmail are on the menu when six mysterious guests assemble at Boddy Manor for a night they’ll never forget! Was it Mrs. Peacock in the study with the knife? Or was it Colonel Mustard in the library with the wrench? Based on the fan-favorite 1985 Paramount Pictures movie and inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue is the ultimate whodunit that will leave you dying of laughter and keep you guessing until the final twist.

[more+]Follow their eight-week journey throughout the city – from The Bentway, to YZD at Downsview, to the Waterfront – enjoying pop-up readings and performances along the way.
NL Architects’ Moving Forest (Amsterdam, NL) calls attention to the critical physical and mental health role that urban trees play. The playful installation sees a flock of 50 trees strapped in shopping carts travelling throughout the city, stopping to create impromptu canopies in several exposed plazas. Over the course of this 8-week project, Red, Silver and Sugar Maples mingle with Autumn Blaze. The project reminds us that as our cities continue to warm and densify, we must ensure that we are prioritizing green infrastructure along with grey.

[more+]The exhibition located in the West Wing is a co-curatorial project in collaboration with MakeRoom Inc. Union’s relationship with MakeRoom Inc was born out of a shared mission to create spaces for local artists that are inclusive, diverse and equitable. This year the call asked artists to respond to the following questions: What does culture mean to you? How do you honour the past?
The featured works of artists Destinie Adélakun, Pixel Heller, Segun Caezar, Heritier Bilaka, Rico Poku and Camille Kiffin encourage exploration of the connections between the past and present, and the traditions that have shaped culture through time. They offer a glimpse into the enduring legacy and boundless creativity of Black communities.
In addition to the group exhibition, Union has selected special guest artist Jordan Sook to present the solo exhibition, Nothing More Nothing Less, a collection of images of butterflies showcased in various mediums throughout Union for people to discover. The butterflies, containing the artist's signature hand painted spots, represent self-expression and the joyfulness of the human spirit. Each piece merges entomology with curiosity, exploring themes of metamorphosis, transformation and evolution.
Opening to the public on Wednesday, February 12, at 6pm with an artist panel and musical celebration. The exhibitions are open daily during station operating hours and are located on the ground level in the West Wing and Oak Room. Additionally, Jordan Sook’s works extend to the station’s exterior banners along Front Street, as well as digital screens and a hoarding wall in the new lower area of the station. Admission is free, and the exhibition runs until August 2025.

[more+]“A simple search for "landscape panorama" on Google will reveal hundreds of thousands of 360-degree videos depicting popular pastoral scenes. For years, as both a community organizer and an artist, I have been listening closely to the stories of precarious labour occurring on farms across Canada. In this film, I am exploring how we can reconnect stories of migrant labour to landscape images that have long been shaped by colonial histories. ” - Monica Cheema
Join us for a work in progress screening of the film To Look, And To Look Again and a moderated discussion informed by excerpts from A Time To Rise (Utahn Da Vela) by Anand Patwardhan and Jim Monro, the story of the Canadian Farmworkers Union which came into existence in 1980. This project was developed through Mayworks’ Labour Arts Catalyst and informed by migrant justice organizing and art-making including A Time To Rise.
Location:Â Bachir Yerex, 401 Richmond St. West, Suite 452, Toronto. Wheelchair accessible.
Wheelchair accessible with gender neutral washrooms.
Mayworks Festival of Working People & the Arts annually presents new works by a diverse range of artists, who are both workers and activists. We prioritize the participation of artists and audiences from communities facing systemic discrimination. Our programming offers bold, insightful, responses to pressing issues at the intersection of art, social justice and labour. We are actively engaged in a social dialogue that challenges the logics of capitalism, and seeks to reimagine and represent a just future.

[more+]This vibrant body of work transforms Union Station into a sanctuary of colour, flora, and contemplation, offering a moment of stillness in the heart of downtown Toronto.
As part of Union’s ongoing commitment to placemaking and showcasing contemporary public art, Aura is part of Unionnale, a dedicated art corridor located in the south end of Union Market. Inspired by Toronto’s vibrant laneways and alleyways adorned with street art, Unionnale brings that same spirit of creativity and surprise into the station. Designed as a space for visual storytelling and artistic discovery, Unionnale showcases the work of local artists through rotating exhibitions every two years, selected through a juried process. The project is part of ArtworxTO’s city-wide public art initiative, helping to animate the daily commute with dynamic, accessible, and thought-provoking works.
Zante’s site-specific works are a celebration of Ontario’s ecological richness. Drawing on his multidisciplinary practice, Aura brings together large-scale digital paintings across three major surfaces: a vaulted ceiling, the bench wall mural, and a series of art panels throughout the station.
Using his signature style of bold colour, surreal geometry, and layered landscapes, Jason Zante brings Aura to life with vibrant depictions of native Ontario flora. Across the artwork, visitors will find species such as blue false indigo, butterfly milkweed, pale purple coneflowers, cardinal flower, and staghorn sumac. Overhead, a majestic maple tree stretches across the vaulted ceiling, its leaves shifting through all four seasons, a visual invitation for viewers to look up, pause, and reconnect with the natural world.

[more+]Guillaume Côté bids “adieu” to The National Ballet of Canada after 26 years. To celebrate his legacy as a preeminent dancer and one of the first Choreographic Associates in the company’s history, he will create a new work, Grand Mirage, and will restage his thrilling Boléro. The programme also features world premieres from two bold and exciting Canadian choreographic talents: Ethan Colangelo and Jennifer Archibald.
Guillaume Côté takes his final bow in a powerful multimedia work he created with Canadian filmmaker Ben Shirinian. A hotel called “Grand Mirage” is a fitting metaphor for transition, as a central figure reflects on the past and faces a future of new possibilities. Grand Mirage honours Côté’s passion for performance and choreography, capturing both the exhilaration of this last moment and the sadness of saying goodbye.
A small ensemble of men and a leading woman defines Guillaume Côté’s fabulous Boléro, which he created for the National Ballet’s 60th Anniversary Diamond Gala in 2012. The piece builds with Maurice Ravel’s famous music from an initial single theme to many elements working together in harmony. The principal woman offers a human touchpoint for this structure and moves from a state of vulnerability to intensifying strength, going from intimate solos to breathtaking multiple lifts.
Canada’s Ethan Colangelo debuts his fresh, contemporary language on the National Ballet’s mainstage with this exciting world premiere. Inspired by the Hieronymus Bosch painting The Garden of Earthly Delights, this work explores how contrasting emotions like anxiety and euphoria can coexist in the body. Colangelo balances moments of extreme virtuosity with subtlety in both movement and music – an original score from his frequent collaborator, Ben Waters.
Hip Hop meets contemporary movement and ballet in this highly anticipated first collaboration with Toronto-born Jennifer Archibald, whose genre-breaking style has taken her from commercial partnerships to film and top dance companies across the US and internationally. Exploring themes of strategy and sacrifice derived from chess, Archibald invites the dancers to push the boundaries of ballet technique and embrace the fearless language that has made her a favourite on the contemporary dance scene.

[more+]Rana Farhan seamlessly blends blues, soul and Persian influences in her signature style, which has won audiences worldwide.
Known as “The Queen of Persian Blues,” Farhan’s soulful voice and hypnotic sound transcend borders. While her first release was of American jazz and blues standards with guitarist and producer Steven Toub, it was the appeal and connection of her album I return in 2007, fusing classical Persian poetry with contemporary blues and jazz, which marked a turning point, with Farhan considering the song “Drunk With Love” her career launcher. Fast forward to 2025, and this new album marks her sixth release in her genre-defying spirit. For this concert, Rana Farhan will be joined by Joe Abbatantuono on drums, Trifon Dimitriv on bass, Travis Sullivan on alto saxophone and Steven Toub on guitar.
To set the tone, Iranian-Canadian singer-songwriter Barzin and his band open with eclectic melancholy songs that range from indie to American neo-folk. Barzin has released seven albums, several of which have been featured in some of music's biggest publications, and has toured extensively worldwide. What started as a solo project in 1995 has since involved notable artists including Tony Dekker (Great Lake Swimmers), Sandro Perri (Polmo Polpo), Nick Zubeck (Sun Kill Moon) and Diana Planche (The Paint Movement).
Link Music Lab acknowledges the generous support of Canadian Heritage and the Canada Council for the Arts.
