1. Night Economy Meeting

The City of Toronto has been conducting a comprehensive review to support Toronto’s night economy, engaging stakeholders and the public through targeted and public consultations, as well as a city-wide online survey. The city is holding a public information session to share the results of these consultations including general feedback, themes, and high-level survey findings. The meeting will include a presentation, followed by an opportunity for questions.

2. Adelaide Street Construction – Cycle Track Relocation to North Side (June 2023)

Engineering & Construction Services (ECS) and Transportation Services (TS) staff have identified an opportunity to begin the relocation of the cycle track from the south to the north side of the street from Bathurst Street to Parliament Street earlier than previously discussed. The previous schedule identified the relocation to occur in spring 2024, however, they can complete most of the relocation this summer.

The relocation will occur along the sections of Adelaide Street where no active construction is taking place. The sections that the City will complete in 2023 are Bathurst Street to York Street and Victoria Street to Parliament Street. The remaining relocation from York Street to Victoria Street will take place in spring 2024 after the TTC track work is complete.  Read more

4. City Requests Your Support for Pandemic Funding Commitment from Federal Government

The City of Toronto is encouraging all Toronto residents and businesses to urge the Government of Canada to honour its funding commitment to the people of Toronto. The City needs the federal government to provide promised COVID-19 pandemic support of $235 million for the City’s 2022 Budget, to match the Province’s commitment. Without federal support, City funding for future frontline services will be affected. More information is available on the City’s website and in the full press release.
